January Favourites.

Wow, I told myself I was going to really try this year to keep on top of my favourites posts, it would seem I continue to bring my bad organisation habits into 2018, I guess new year, new me doesn't actually work...Who'd of thought?

Anyway, here's my belated January favourites, it's a short one this time round as after Christmas I was pretty much skint and therefore wasn't able to buy and try new products. However, the ones I did try, I've really enjoyed and as such will be sharing with you. now. let's go.

Starting with the beauty items, first up we have the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation. I actually picked this up at duty free when I went on holiday just before Christmas, I don't know If I'd necessarily have gotten it normally, but because it was slightly cheaper and I fully had that treat yo' self holiday mentality, I picked it up. I've really liked using this foundation, the coverage is so good, a little really goes a long way with this product. I really like that it gives a really even and flawless coverage, it's perfect if you're going on a night out or have a long day planned because the foundation really stays put on your face, without being even slightly cakey. The only thing that is a slight downside is that the shade I have is way too light for me and gives off major Caspar the ghost vibes, but with powder & blending it is easy to cover.

Another makeup item I was absolutely loving during the month of January was the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. This is one of THE most raved about products, and I was so excited to finally give it a try. In the past I've found it really difficult to use pen liquid liners before, because their wasn't very good precision and because they can dry out quickly. This liner might have converted me back to the ways of liquid eyeliner, it is amazing. The tip is really thin so it gives a good defined flick, but is also thick enough to be able to fill in the lines. Since getting it the tip hasn't lost it's shape or split in anyway at all, it also hasn't dried out which gives it a massive thumbs up from me. The thing I love most about this product is that it glides on so easily, I have quite hooded eyes and have found that some liquid eyeliners can pull on my lid and create an uneven line, this didn't do that in the slightest, it was so smooth and easy to use.

The last kind of beauty/cosmetic/haircare product is a hair dye, obvs because I am like a hair dye addict - also because finding the perfect grey hair dye is actually harder than I thought it would be. Arctic Fox's grey dye Sterling has been doing a pretty good job though. I'd been wanting to try Arctic Fox hair dye for ages and I finally got round to doing so and I am 100% a convert to the brand now. I love how much product you get in a bottle and a little really goes along way, it's a really good consistency which helps to make sure that it goes well onto the hair to give good coverage. The colour itself is a really nice silvery/dark grey, which is pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. I am really loving this brand at the moment and quite wait to try more of their colours in the future, when I inevitably get bored of the grey.

Next up, we have a fashion item, these Yellow Tartan boots from Asos have literally changed my life for the better. Not only do they give off major clueless vibes, but they are so incredibly comfy considering how high they are and they are just so freaking fabulous. I love that they give me some much needed height. The thing I love most about these boots is that they can be dressed up for a night out but can also be worn more casually. A perfect all rounder. I'm so happy I managed to get my hands on them before they sold out.

Last up, we have a film, it's one I've definitely mentioned before on this blog, but I'm still obsessed and can't stop speaking about it. In January it was the DVD release of IT.  It's safe to say I had to do about 1000 rewatches and I just still find it so great. I love that it had an amazing mix of horror and comedy, it was the perfect ode to the book and the original, but was also so fresh and made the story accessible for a new generation. The cast were so talented, I love how funny the kids are and how damn creepy my boy Bill Skarsgard is as Pennywise. Such a great film, if you've somehow have still not seen it yet then you must.
