The Disney Tag

Not my Image

I was tagged to do this post by the fabulous Belle from Ms Belle Bonbon who is freaking fabulous, so go check out her blog...after you've read this first ;) I'm sure most of you know by now that I am obsessed with everything Disney, it is one of my favourite topics of conversation so let's get straight into it.

FAVOURITE CHARACTER - Jasmine. I love her so much! She's so sassy, she doesn't take any shit from any of the male characters and she full on takes one for the team by kissing Jafar. Her and Aladdin are so cute together. I just have a lot of feelings about Princess Jasmine, if I could just be her that would be great.

FAVOURITE PRINCESS - Obviously Jasmine again, but to mix it up a bit I would probably say Elsa or Belle. I love Elsa's character development...and her dress...but mostly her character development. Belle is just amazing, I love her sense of adventure, her bravery & her love of books.

FAVOURITE HEROINE - Mulan, Pocahontas, Megara or Moana. Again, I just love the sassy women. They all go against what they are told and save the day.

Not my Image.

FAVOURITE PRINCE - Prince Naveen. I think he undergoes the biggest change. I loved him as frog Naveen & human Naveen, and I thought that him and Tiana were so cute together. I'm not a massive fan of the rest of the Disney Princes, I think they are all a bit boring and a bit meh.

FAVOURITE HERO - Aladdin. It's my favourite Disney film, and he is hands down my favourite Disney fella - and not just because I used to fancy him. I'd say he's closely followed by Hercules & John Smith.

FAVOURITE ANIMAL - Thomas O'Malley, Robin Hood, Bagheera. Probably the most random answer of the bunch. I remember loving Thomas O'Malley as a child and finding his songs so catchy. I was also absolutely in love with Robin Hood as a child, 90's Char was all about the cartoon fox it would seem. I love Bagheera because he is like the ultimate grumpy parent, he is what I envisage me being like as a parent.

FAVOURITE SIDEKICK - Carpet from Aladdin, Mushu from Mulan, Baymax. They are all just so funny, we would be the best gang.

FAVOURITE VILLAIN - Hades. Do I even need to explain why?

FAVOURITE ORIGINAL CHARACTER - Aesthetically I like to say Minnie Mouse because she's so fabulous, but truthfully I'd have to say Donald Duck because he gets so angry, and it just cracks me up.

Not my Image.

FAVOURITE LOVE SONG - A Whole New World. The best song and one of the best scenes of any Disney film.

FAVOURITE SONG - Reflection - Mulan or Colours of the Wind - Pocahontas. Both are so deep and have such strong meaning behind them, they are also really catchy and never fail to make me cry.

FAVOURITE VILLAIN SONG - Friends On The Other Side. Dr Facilier is a close second to Hades for my favourite Villain. I just really like this song and the scene.

LEAST FAVOURITE SONG - Anything from Snow White. I can't stand her voice, or that film.

FAVOURITE KISS - Aladdin & Jasmine. It starts off with them being all cute and staring into each others eyes and then carpet is the ultimate wing man. Plus they are hands down the best looking couple.

THE FIRST MOVIE I EVER SAW
- I think the first film I watched on VHS was Winnie the Pooh, but Hercules was the first film I can remember seeing in the cinema.

FAVOURITE CLASSIC - Peter Pan or Alice in Wonderland. I think they are both such beautiful films, and the ultimate fantasy classics.

Not my Image,

SONG THAT ALWAYS GETS STUCK IN MY HEAD - How Far I'll Go - Moana is the most recent one that gets stuck in my head, but I also somehow always manage to get Under the Sea stuck in my head as well.

FAVOURITE PIXAR MOVIE - The Incredibles. I am so unbelievably excited for the second one to come out.

LEAST FAVOURITE MOVIE - Snow White. Hate it! I will forever be traumatised by that stupid Snow White ride at Disneyland.

FAVOURITE SEQUEL - Peter Pan 2. All day everyday! I love Jane (100% prefer her to Wendy - controversial opinion, shhh!) I always thought her and Peter had such good chemistry, and I just thought she was really cool & had great character development. This might be a slightly unpopular opinion but I'm a big fan of Disney Sequels - Little Mermaid 2 was great, loved the soundtrack. Lion King 2 was on point. Mulan 2 had a weird story line but I always loved that song 'other girls.' Aladdin & the King of Thieves is so bloody underrated, and was such a good sequel (we'll just pretend the sack of shit that was Return of Jafar doesn't exist.) I thought most of them were pretty good...Apart from Pocahontas 2, that was the worst film ever made and will forever scar me, and lets just not talk about it any more. Ever again. BYE JOHN ROLFE, BYE.

OVERRATED MOVIE - The Lion King. I feel like it's blasphemous to say that, I do really enjoy the film, but I just never got the crazy level of hype about it.

UNDERRATED MOVIE -- I added this one because there are so many! - The Black Cauldron, Atlantis, Robin Hood, Wreck it Ralph, Big Hero 6.

MOVIE THAT MAKES YOU LAUGH - Hercules and Zootropolis - I just love Nick Wilde. Clearly my subconscious has a thing for sassy foxes.

MOVIE THAT MAKES YOU CRY - Literally all of them. I cried so much at the new Beauty and the Beast, Moana, Zootropolis, Inside Out. etc. I'm a big ol Disney baby.

SADDEST SCENE - In Hunchback of Notre Dame when they all laugh at Quasimodo, and tie him down & throw food at him. I literally can't cope with that scene.

SADDEST DEATH - Bing Bong! 'Take her to the moon for me' I can't! I just can't!

FAVOURITE QUOTE - "The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all." This quote from Mulan resonates with me so strongly, it's a reminder to keep going even when the odds are stacked against you and that it doesn't matter how long it takes you or where your at compared to other people.

I now have a VERY strong desire to have a Disney movie marathon. I don't really have any other friends to tag (loser) so I tag anyone & everyone who wishes to take part.

  1. So enjoyed reading this! I also don't get the hype of the Lion King, like it's a good film but it gets waaaay overhyped. Completely agree with Moana and Merida, they are hair and attitude goals!!
