Spring Collective Haul

Spring has well and truly sprung, (although it seems someone forgot to tell the weather that.) That being said It felt like the perfect excuse to update my wardrobe with some new brighter items - my wardrobe is now the most pastel/floral it has ever been.

Over the past couple of months I've been trying to branch out of my comfort zone colour & style-wise. These are the items I've collected over that period of time; these were not all purchased in one go, although as my sad bank balance can confirm it wouldn't put it past me.

H&M is absolutely on point for floral's at the moment, and since I get discount it would have been rude not to purchase a few items.

I'm sure you all recognise this beautiful embroidered dress, it seems to be the ultimate blogger dress. So I couldn't resist picking it up before it sold out. Priced at £69.99 I would never have bought this if I didn't get the discount because it is pretty expensive for a dress, in my opinion. It is, however, a work of art, the design is absolutely stunning and there is so much attention to detail. I bought this dress because I have a few festivals lined up this summer and it is the ultimate festival dress. I don't like the cami dress that is underneath it so my plan is to take that out and wear it over shorts & a top.

Another floral dress I got from H&M is a bit more wearable and would be perfect for wearing out for an evening of summery drinks or even a wedding. The print is absolutely gorgeous and the cut is so flattering, it really brings you in at the waist and covers any lumps and bumps.

I am absolutely obsessed with culottes at the moment, they are so comfy and so flattering, perfect for a little short arse like me who normally has to roll up her trousers otherwise. I really wanted a striped pair that I could dress up for evenings out and this navy pair are perfect for that. I love pairing mine with a white cami top and some white sandals for a casual yet put together look. These culottes are a bargain at only 17.99 I think.

Another pair of culottes I just had to pick up were this bright yellow pair from Zara. I would never normally be brave enough to wear a pair of yellow trousers but I'm trying to step out of my comfort zone. These trousers look amazing on, I prefer to pair these with a slouchy t-shirt to make them a bit more casual.

I'd been pining after these Asos tapestry shoes for ages but couldn't quite justify them. I recently saw they went into the sale and realised it was probably meant to be. They are so comfortable, and I think they look a lot more expensive than what they are. I can sense I'm going to get a lot of use out of these this summer.

Another item from Asos is this Ragged Priest sweatshirt style top. I was particularly drawn to the sleeves, I love that one is black and one is mint green, I think it looks really cool next to the lilac. The fiery tiger is a cool touch, but I probably would have preferred if it was a plain design. This top is so comfortable to wear, it's the perfect amount of slouchy and it looks really good with some ripped black jeans and biker boots.

Back to the floral, it's this H&M striped top with capped, ruffled sleeves. I love that the floral design is a bit more subtle on this top. It's really flattering & wearable and the sleeves add something a bit different which I'm really happy about. I only wish I'd bought it in a size bigger, the boob sitch is not the most comfortable, but the beauty makes it worth it.

The last item I picked up were these New Look lavender/cornflower blue slacks. I'd been eyeing up a pair in H&M but they just didn't fit right over my hips, so when I found these ones that fit like a dream I knew I had to get them. I'm really loving slacks and trousers at the moment, after living in jeans for years it's quite nice to try a different type of trouser. These slacks are incredibly versatile and could be worn for work, a casual daytime look and even dolled up for the evening.

I am so pleased with all these items, even if my bank balance is less impressed.
