Laptops, Laryngitis & Life.

Hello to you lovely people,
Long time no speak, my apologies for the lack of posts this week but believe me when I say it is perfectly justified as this past week has quite literally been mental. So I thought I'd give you guys abit of an update (sorry if this turns into a huge rant.)

First of all I arrived back to uni on Monday afternoon after a somewhat very stressful train journey. I got back around 3pm ish and unpacked, tidied, cleaned & even did a food shop at Sainsburys despite feeling very stressed & agitated. Once I was finished with all that I thought to myself that I'd have abit of chill time with a cup of tea & a snooping sesh on Pinterest (yes I am still addicted!) I logged on to my computer and opened an internet browser with not a care in the world until my laptop decided it would be a fun idea to switch itself off. I've tried it again & again and still the exact same thing, it will switch on and work for between 5-10 minutes then justs turns itself off. As you can imagine I'm not best pleased with this as I most definitely can't afford a new laptop if mine completely bites the dust. I've had to use my housemates laptop to write this post, but obviously I can't use hers for ever. If any of you have any IT knowledge/ are a computer whizz kid I would really appreciate some help! Any ideas of what the problem could be?

So the week has already started in complete shambles that it only seems fitting to continue the week in the same way. The plague has hit my uni house - not the actual plague obviously, the conditions can be bad in this house but it definitely does not compare to medieval Britain. We have in fact managed to come down with coughs aplenty in which we have managed to create a rather unpleasant cough orchestra which ripples through the house on a regular basis. We are ranging from a tickle in the throat to full blown Laryngitis, luckily my cough is only mild. I really feel for my housemate who hasn't been able to speak for days. I know this isn't exactly drama, but you know when your already stressed/anxious and the littlest thing can cause so much stress.

On a much lighter note I'm very excited that this time next week I will be hitting the ski slopes! I'm really excited to go skiing again as I haven't been since I was fifteen, wow five years ago! (I feel old) As it has been so long I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I won't go arse over tit on the the first day. As I will be out of the country I won't be posting while I'm gone but I'll still be posting on Twitter & Instagram in case you miss me too much! ;)

I hope that you are having a much better week than I am, if your not then my thoughts are with you! If anyone does have any advice on the laptop situation I would really appreciate all the help I can get.

  1. Your computer is having the same problem that mine did. I don´t know if you are still in time to fix it though. Do you use it on your bed a lot? That might be the problem, since it would be over-heating. My laptop died last month because of that. It was like the heat completely destroyed some pieces that were close to the On/Off button. You need to buy a laptop fan :D There are some really nice ones out there. I bought it when I got my new laptop so that it wouldn´t die the same way the other one did. I would check with a technician before it turns off and never turns on again.
    Good luck!
